This is a fun family ride of 24 km that starts at Red Pine Bay,  and meanders through the Algonquin Trail  and then the quiet roads of McNab Braeside to Betty’s Chips in the Village of Braeside. There you will get a well earned sample serving of Betty’s World Famous Poutine, with their incredible view of the Ottawa River.  After licking the last of the gravy out of the dish, just hop on your bike,  and gently glide down Usborne Hill to the start line with zero cadence! There you will get your very own, limited edition Tour de Poutine medallion.  ( just think of what it will be worth in 50 years! )

If you are taking advantage of the family rate and bringing kiddies and feel the full 24 km may be a bit much, worry not; we will have some shorter options. Since there will be a stretch on the Algonquin Trail I would recommend that you have a bike with at least 30 mm tires as pure road tires may not work well on the trail.  But we will figure out a pure road option,  We are hoping to have some riders from the Ottawa Valley Cycling and Active Transportation Alliance participating as well, and you will have the chance to join this dynamic organization at no charge!
